Because the time of The Art of Flight in Austria has come and the Cineplexx Apollo cinema in Vienna will open the doors for all the snowboard fans out there!
Quiksilver and Red Bull rider Travis Rice, Curt Morgan and other members of the Crew will be at the premiere in Vienna and for sure they will sign so many auto grams that they can´t write any more! When? At the 9th of November at 3 pm in the Blue Tomato Store Vienna!

Donavon Frankenreiter in Vienna!

Donavon Frankenreiter visits the Blue Tomato Shop in Vienna! The american songwriter and pro surfer comes to our shop on September 22th at 4pm! Jack Johnson’s surf colleague is going to hold a signature session and possibly, he will also play some songs of his new album “Glow”!
Donavon Frankenreiter got his first surfboard at the age of ten. Six years later he had his first guitar in his hand and that was the start of a wild and creative journey: His double-obsession has taken him around the globe and into the hearts of the fans. “Surfing keeps me alive the music grounds me released“, says the charming 37-year-old songwriter who just released his fourth album “Glow”.
After three years of abstinence, Donavon Frankenreiter is finally back and in addition to his concerts in Germany, he adds a stop at our shop in Vienna!
The fact that surfing and music have always belonged together, you know at least since the Beach Boys in the early sixties (“Surfin USA”) and since Jack Johnson’s low-key songs! And exactly this was Jack Johnson, who published the debut album of his long-time California surf colleague Donavon Frankenreiter! Simple-minded “slow down, take it easy” songs, enriched with plenty of Laguna Beach romance.
Although the initial success wasnot long in coming, Frankenreiter continued those things he loved most: his wife, his son, his guitar and the ocean. With his newest album “Glow” the waves now appear to strike suddenly higher: the organ gurgles in the background, it grooves funky, the guitar is plugged into the amplifier, which sometimes remembers to the good old Neil Young. The pleasant voice remained - and that’s a great thing!

3. Juni 2011 – RED BULL BEATS & RHYMES 2011 – HiP HOP IM PRATER, supported by Blue Tomato!

Am 3.Juni 2011 wird der Wiener Prater zum Hip Hop-Battlefield Österreichs. Bei Red Bull Beats and Rhymes haben fünf Crews eine Stunde Zeit, um einen Track zu produzieren. Am Ende gewinnt jene Crew, die mit ihrer Interpretation die Stimmung in den Pratergalerien zum Überkochen bringt.
Normalerweisewerden die Kräfte im Wiener Prater bei Autodrom, Hau den Lukas oder in der Schießbude gemessen. Anders jedoch am 3.Juni 2011 im Salon der Pratergalerien. Hier geht es nicht um körperliche Wettkämpfe oder Geschicklichkeitsduelle im Vergnügungspark, sondern um punktgenaues Teamwork von Producer und MC.

26. Februar 2011 – blue bird, perfekt geshapter Park und 30 motivierte Girls- das war das Roxy Snowcamp im Blue Tomato Park Stuhleck!

Schon einige Wochen vor dem Termin des Roxy Snowcamps, am 26. Februar 2011, waren alle Plätze restlos ausgebucht das zeigte wie motiviert die Mädels im Osten von Österreich sind. Und das bestätigten sie dann auch im Park.
Gecoacht wurden die Girls von den 3 Roxy Teamriderinnen: Veronika Rajcsanyi, Lea Baumschlager und Betzy Koeffler.
Kurzerhand ging es ab auf die Piste und dann direkt in perfekt geshapten Blue Tomato Snowpark Stuhleck der keine Wünsche offen lies.
Nach einer kurzen Einführung ging es dann auch schon ab auf die erste Box. Je nach Level gingen die Roxy TeamriderInnen ganz speziell auf die Teilnehmerinnen ein, so dass sich wirklich jeder etwas abschauen und auch etwas mitnehmen konnte. Dabei bemerkte man, dass die Mädels eifrig dabei waren und schnell Forschritte gemacht wurden. Und vor allem waren sie hart im nehmen, denn der ein oder andere Stunt wurde weggesteckt und das Hindernis einfach nochmal angefahren. Die Mädels waren kaum zu bremsen, so dass die Zeit dann auch wie im Fluge verging.
Nach einem erlebnisreichen, aber auch sehr anstrengenden Shred Tag im Park gab es für alle Teilnehmerinnen von Roxy und Blue Tomato coole Goodies.
Hier ein paar Impressionen der von den Teilnehmerinnen:
Marie: „Mir hat das Camp voll gut gefallen. Ich weiß nun was ich falsch gemacht habe und wie es richtig geht. Ich wäre immer wieder gern dabei und finde es echt toll, dass alle Mädels es so toll gemacht haben.“
Tara: Mir hat es super viel Spaß gemacht und ich bin stak dafür, dass die Roxy Mädels bald wieder nach Stuhleck kommen! Es war echt ein toller Tag!“

Am 11.03.2011 sind KYA BAMBA SOUND das erste Mal in Wien und rocken den CLub Reigen!
Das Reggae/Dancehall‐Kollektiv KYA BAMBA aus den Schweizer Alpen sollte den meisten Freunden des Wintersports und Dancehall‐Insidern ein Begriff sein. Durch ihre enge Freundschaft zum Top‐Freestyler TANNER HALL, zu dessen Videos sie mehrfach ihre Dubplates als Soundtrack beisteuerten, konnten sie sich in der Freeski‐ und Snowboard‐Szene als musikalische Fixgröße etablieren und jede Menge Fans gewinnen. Darüber hinaus machten sie sich mit diversen Remixes weltweit einen Namen und können auf Gastspiele, u.a. in den USA und JAPAN, zurückblicken. Regelmäßig sind sie auch in den Hot Spots unter den österreichischen Wintersportorten zu Gast und waren schon bei einigen der angesagtesten Events.

Blue Tomato LOSER CONTEST

Am5. März um 15 Uhr geht`s für alle Skater ab in den Blue Tomato Shop in Wien, um dort ihr Können darzubieten.
In einem so genannten LOSER Contest werden die Besten herausgefiltert.
Der Contest wird in 2 Altersgruppen unterteilt: Über 16 Jährige und Unter 16 Jährige treten gegeneinander an und haben die Chance ihre Skateskills vorzuführen. Der Gewinner hat die Ehre nach Madrid zum Element Make it Count European Finale zu fahren und kann sich dort die Elite der Top-Skater ansehen.
Der Sieger beim Element Make it Count Contest gewinnt einen Sponsor Vertrag mit Element und einen Trip zum Element YMCA Skate Camp. Die Judges bestehen aus den Teamridern von Element und somit wird es kein leichtes Spiel, es ist DIE Competition der Besten Skater Europas. Also am besten gleich im Terminkalender eintragen!
Unter anderem gibt es Goodies und Sachpreise sponsert by Element und Volcom, Achsen, Rollen, T-Shirts und eine DJ Session.

On March the 5th at 3pm it’s starting in the Blue Tomato Shop in Vienna for all skaters to show their skills. In a so called Loser Contest Blue Tomato wants to find the best ones. The contest is split into two age groups: over 16 years and under 16 year olds compete against each other and every skater has the chance to show his skills. The winner has the honor to go to Madrid to the Element Make it Count European finale and can see the elite of the top skaters.
The winner of the Element Make it Count Contest will win a sponsor contract with Element and a trip to the Element YMCA Camp. The judges are consisting of team riders of Element and therefore it won’t be an easy game, it is THE competition of the best skaters of Europe.
It would be best if you remember that day in your calendar right away! So that’s a must appointment for you!
Among other things there are goodies and gift prizes sponsored by Element and Volcom, axles, wheels, T-Shirts and a DJ session.
