Die neuen Swatch TTR World Tour Champions Peetu Piiroinen (FIN) und Jamie Anderson (USA) wurden am Samstag, 12. März bei den 29. Burton US Open gekrönt. Für ihre überragenden Leistungen der vergangenen zehn Monate erhielten beide Sportler nicht zum ersten Mal den Titel als Swatch TTR World Tour Champion verliehen. Neben der TTR Champion Trophäe nahmen beide jeweils 50.000 USD Preisgeld mit nach Hause.

Während sich Jamie Anderson ihren zweiten TTR World Tour Titel abholen konnte, beendete Peetu Piiroinen seine Wettkampfsaison bereits zum dritten Mal in Folge als Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour Champion. Mit den Burton US Open ist der letzte 6Star Event der Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour 2010/11 über die Bühne gegangen.

Peetu Piiroinen gewinnt seinen dritten TTR World Tour Titel in Folge
Schon in der letzten Saison schrieb der finnische Überflieger mit seinem zweiten TTR World Tour Sieg Snowboard Geschichte. Auch diese Saison konnte ihm kein Mitstreiter den Rang ablaufen und so holte sich Peetu Piiroinen schließlich zum dritten Mal in Folge den Titel des Swatch TTR World Tour Champion.

In dieser Saison war Peetu bei allen möglichen Events auf drei verschiedenen Kontinenten anzutreffen. Er macht alles und er macht es gut. Seine diesjährige Wettkampfsaison begann in China mit dem 6Star Shaun White & Oakley Air & Style in Peking, wo er im Big Air Format auf dem 5. Platz landete. Von Asien reiste er weiter nach Europa und wurde 4. im Halfpipe Wettbewerb der 6Star O`Neill Evolution im schweizerischen Davos. Bei den 6Star Burton European Open gewann er den Halfpipe Wettbewerb und wurde Zweiter im Slopestyle. Auch beim 6Star Billabong Air & Style in Innsbruck bestieg er als Zweiter das Podium. Nur eine Woche später gewann der Finne schließlich den 6Star Nike 6.0 Air & Style München und sicherte sich damit den Titel des Swatch TTR World Tour Champion 2010/11.

Jamie Anderson holt sich ihren zweiten Swatch TTR World Tour Titel
Seitdem sie 2005 erstmals auf der Bildfläche der TTR World Snowboard Tour erschienen war, bereichert die Kalifornierin Jamie Anderson aus South Lake Tahoe den professionellen Wettkampfsport mit ihren vielseitigen Snowboardfähigkeiten. Mit ihrer kreativen und konzentrierten, aber stetig progressiven Fahrweise konnte sie sich einen Namen im Freestyle Snowboarden machen. Jamie hat bereits zahlreiche Erfolge auf ihrem Snowboardkonto verbucht. Unter anderem holte sie sich in der Saison 2007/2008 ihren ersten Titel als jüngster Swatch TTR World Tour Champion und gewann darüber hinaus in den vergangenen Jahren mehr als ein Dutzend 5Star und 6Star Events.

Auch in der Saison 2010/11 dominierte die sympathische Amerikanerin wieder die TTR Tour mit einer Reihe von Slopestyle Siegen rund um den Globus. Ihre Erfolgswelle begann schon mit dem 1. Platz bei den 5Star New Zealand Open und hörte auch mit dem Sieg im Slopestyle Wettbewerb bei der 6Star O`Neill Evolution nicht auf. ”Mit meinem ersten 6Star Sieg bei der Evolution in Davos dachte ich mir, es könnte nicht schaden, auch bei den anderen 6Star Events teilzunehmen. Ich habe mein Bestes gegeben und schließlich ein paar Wettbewerbe gewonnen, um genügend Punkte zu sammeln,” grinste die zufriedene Jamie.

Mit zwei weiteren 6Star Slopestyle Siegen bei den Burton European Open und der Oakley Arctic Challenge sicherte sie sich die eindeutige Führung im Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour Ranking. Nachdem sie mit dem zweiten Platz im Slopestyle Wettbewerb der 6Star Burton US Open schließlich ihre letzte Konkurrentin Kelly Clark (USA) abschütteln konnte, stand Jamies zweitem TTR Tour Champion Titel nichts mehr im Wege. Die Snowboaderin war überwältigt, als sie ihre TTR Trophäe entgegen nahm.

The new Swatch TTR World tour Champions Peetu Piiroinen (FIN) and Jamie Anderson (USA) were crowned on Saturday 12 March at the 29 Burton U.S. Open. For their outstanding achievements of the last ten months, both athletes were not the first time awarded the title as the Swatch TTR World Tour Champion. In addition to the TTR Champion trophy both took each $ 50,000 in prize money at home. While Jamie Anderson could pick up her second TTR World Tour title, Peetu finished his competition season for the third time in row as Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour Champion. With the Burton U.S Open the final event of the 6Star Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour 2010/11 is walked across the stage.

Peetu Piiroinen won this third title TTR World Tour
Even in the last season of Finnish high-flyer wrote history with his second victory in the TTR World Snowboard Tour. Also in this season no one couldn`t run the rank to him and finally Peetu took the third year in a row the title of the Swatch TTR World Tour Champion.

This season Peetu was present in all sorts of events on three different continents. He did everything and he did it well. This year his competition season began in China with the 6Star Shaun White & Oakley Air & Style in Beijing, where he got the 5^th place in the Big Air format. From Asia, he traveled to Europe and got the 4^th place in the 6Star O`Neill Evolution halfpipe competition in Davos, Switzerland. In the 6Star Burton European Open halfpipe competition, he won the halfpipe competition and got the 2^nd place in slopestyle. Even at the 6Star Billabong Air & Style in Innsbruck he got the 2^nd place. Just a week later, Peetu wo the 6Star Nike 6.0 Air & Style Munich and secured himself the title of the Swatch TTR World tour Champion 2010/11.

Jamie Anderson got her second TTR World Tour Title
Since then in 2005 she first appeared on the scene of the TTR World Snowboard Tour, the Californian Jamie Anderson from South Lake Tahoe professional enriched the professional competitive sport with their diverse snowboard skills. With her creative and focused, but steadily progressive riding she could make a name in freestyle snowboarding. Jamie has already booked many successes in her snowboard account. Among other things, she won in the season 2007/08 her first title as the youngest Swatch TTR World Tour Champion and she also won a lot of 5Star and 6Star events in the recent years.

Also in the season 2010/11 the sympathetic American Girl was dominated in the TTR Tour with a series of slopestyle victories around the globe. Her wave of success began with the first place at the 5Star New Zealand Open and don’t stopped with a victory in the slopestyle competition at the 6Star O`Neill Evolution. “With my first 6Star victory in the Evolution in Davos, I thought it could not hurt to take part in the other 6Star events. I did my best and finally won a few competitions to earn enough points, “smiled the satisfied Jamie.

Geglückte Rückkehr des Air&Style nach München vor 16.500 Zuschauern im Olympiastadion München!

München, 12. Februar 2011 – Der Sieger des Nike 6.0 Air&Style Munich 2011 ist Peetu Piiroinen aus Finnland. Mit einem Cab 1260 Mute Grab und einem Frontblunt 270 (93,07 Punkte) im Superfinale der besten Vier sicherte er sich vor 16.500 begeisterten Zuschauern im Olympiastadion München den begehrten Ring of Glory. Zweiter bei diesem Swatch TTR World Tour 6-Star Event wurde Seppe Smits (BEL/91,6) vor unserem Blue Tomato Teamrider, Halldor Helgason (ISL/77,6), welcher die Finals mit einem sauberen Bs 1080 Double Cork und einem Switch 50-50 Halfcab Out am Stairset eröffnete und dann in Run 2 und 3 leider stürzte.

Der Kicker ist perfekt geshaped. Das warme Wetter und die hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit können dem Schnee nichts anhaben. Im Gegenteil: Sie sorgen für eine weiche und sichere Landung. Die Fahrer zeigten sich begeistert vom Zustand der Schanze.

Es ist soweit – auf http://www.facebook.com/MINI finden MINI Fans unter dem Tab „Burton“ die Runs der Burton European Open Halfpipe und Slopestyle Bewerbe, die für den Creative Use of Space Award in Frage kommen. Grilo, Seb und Werni für die Augen, Jan Delay, Pennywise und Blumentopf auf die Ohren –> Alle 16 Top-Fahrer, 14 Rookies und 3 Bands bestätigt

Hier kommt es schwarz auf weiß: Zum ältesten und traditionsreichsten Snowboardcontest der Welt zieht es wieder die größten des Sports in das Bergiselstadion. Der Billabong Air & Style Innsbruck-Tirol 2011 vermeldet das vollständig bestätigte Fahrerfeld für den Showdown am 5. Februar.

Und ganz besonders auf Ihre Kosten kommt diesmal die musikbegeisterte Fraktion. Im Stadion mischen der Funk-Rap-und-sonst-noch-was-Jongleur Jan Delay und die Punkrockurgesteine Pennywise die Zuschauer auf. Und bereits am Freitagabend gibt es im Rahmen des SnowFestival auf der Maria-Theresia-Straße die Burn Rail Session, die Auslosung der Erstrundenduelle mit allen Fahrern und ein Gratiskonzert der Münchner Sprachkünstler von Blumentopf.

Here it comes in black on white: the oldest and most traditional snowboard contest draws the world’s best riders into the Bergiselstadium, Innsbruck. The Billabong Air &Style Innsbruck-Tirol 2011 proudly presents the complete Ridersfield for the showdown on February 5th.

Especially the music-loving crowd will be pleased with the line-up. Jan Delay, the funk-rap-blues-everything artist and punk-rock-legends Pennywise will rock the stadium. While on the day before the Burn Rail Session and the first Round ridersdraw take place on the Maria-Theresia-Straße. Afterwards the Hip-Hop-Combo Blumentopf will give a free open-air concert during the inner-city SnowFestival.
