Blue Tomato goes Vienna…das nehmen wir wörtlich und wollen Snowboard und Freeskier in die Hauptstadt Österreichs bringen. In diesem Jahr kommt uns auch noch Frau Holle entgegen und das nutzten wir um einen Street Photo und Video Contest ins Leben zu rufen. Wir wollen motivierte Snowboarder und Freeskier zum Shredden in der City animieren und die Besten und Fleißigsten auch belohnen.

12.000 Snowboarder aus ganz Europa haben 4 Wochen lang gevotet und entschieden. Nun steht fest wo die Nike 6.0 Stairset Battle Tour halt machen wird, und welche Resorts das Stairset als Park-Support gewonnen haben.
Knapp aber verdient gewann in Österreich der Blue Tomato Park Stuhleck. Dank den vielen treuen Stimmen bei Facebook wird die Tour dort am 4. Februar 2011 einen Stopp einlegen.

12.000 snowboarders from allover Europe voted four weeks long and decided. Now it is has been determined where the Nike 6.0 Stairset Battle Tour will stop and which resorts will get the stairset as a park support.

Marc Swoboda is a very busy dude lately, shooting for various projects across the globe he found some time for an interview with methodmag.com. One of the last projects he was shooting for was the new Nitro project. “Filming for the Nitro movie was amazing, just because it was the first time I had a filmer with me pretty much everywhere I went, so it was perfect” says Marc.

Despite the new Nitro movie Marc has also been shooting for the new Blickensfreie’s Bulgaria project. “The crew was perfect, it was a good mixture of everything and we got super lucky with the weather. There was some snow in Sofia at the start of the trip, so we hit some street stuff, later on we went to some resorts – they have some big peaks there – it was sick!”
“Sketch(y)” is another project that mark has been busy working on lately. Sketch(y) is the new movie by Bamboo Motion Pictures and will premiere on the 25th of September in Neustadt, Austria. The Bamboo crew is trying to create some sort of a scene back home by producing a movie and having a premiere every year. “I’m stoked because we’ve managed to step it up every season, this year’s movie gonna be sweet!“ says Marc.

On Sunday, February 7th 2010 twenty international riders came together for an invitational Best Trick session at an abandoned farm close to Munich, Germany.
Amazing tricks went down during the heated session held in a cash-for-tricks mode. For a total purse of €10.000, invited riders including Jed Anderson, Nick Visconte, Louis-Felix Paradis, Marc Swoboda, among others, brought out their best tricks.
Nike 6.0 supported the locals, including teamrider Basti Rittig, in setting up a stunning jib park, made out of natural materials that served as the location for this stunning event.
And naturally, the park will be around for the locals to shred whenever there is snow
Marc is real hot right now and on the best way to become Austria’s next big snowboarding superstar. During the last 2 years he has gone from strength to strength laying down sick contest results at contests such as Wängl Tängl in Mayrhofen or winning the European Volcom Peanut Butter Rail Jam Finals. He is certainly making his mark! That combined with sick shots in Europe’s leading snowboard magazines and double page ads from his sponsors just add to his recognition. Marc is a relaxed, nice guy who is the last to talk the talk before he can walk the walk, a huge talent matched with a professional outlook and a high level of athleticism, he is 24 years of age.
