Starting the week with an own summer shooting project sounds exciting!

That was the 3 days plan for us 7 interns, Bijan, Wolfi, Meike, Chris, Flo, Franzi and Sarah (clockwise from the top). So we packed our bags and hit the road from our office in Schladming to the nice university town of Graz.

Leaving in heavy downpour we arrived again in beautiful rainy weather at the Blue Tomato logistics in Graz after a long, but cozy bus trip including nutritious beakfast breaks at McDonalds – of course.

After a short guided tour through the logistics of Graz we finally got down to work: considering our project story, collecting summer outfits for the shooting, checking models and locations, arranging a timetable… We had some hot discussions while the first meeting and thus we were even more excited about the upcoming shooting Tuesday.

Tuesday morning. Departure, a short stop for buying provisions, then straight to the first location – the amazing university of Graz!

Happy about our well-ordered and harmonizing team, the sudden approaching friendly summer weather and the characteristic college location, we finished our shooting after two short hours and could head for the next spot.

We were planning to shoot at the platform of the nice mur isle but we spontaneously changed our decision for another hot spot:

A great beach bar with a corresponding fresh and easy beach feeling – in this situation the better choice!

We were blown away from the results. Everything was going so well that we still had enough time discovering the lovely downtown with its numerous bars, the obvious frozen-yoghurt trend, delicious and opulent food, as well as the old tower called “Urturm” on top of the castle mountain with great view over the city!

Summer in the City!

Check out the super stylish city styles for every day and for flirty beach bar nights.

Andi shows us a fresh and young street style wearing the Element Folded T-shirt, the Volcom Hoxton Chino Short and the Vans Rowley SPV sneakers. The Nixon The Sentry watch and the Nike Vintage 80 shades are the icing on the cake.

The short black Element Rachel dress is just the best choice for going out. Besides, Nadine is wearing the beautiful DC Georgina sandals , the stylish red Nixon Shout It Out Satchel Bag with the great Roxy Miller Brown-Burgundy shades and again the Epic Floris Necklace (Sorry, still sold out!). When the sun goes down the easy Element Caravana Cardigan keeps you warm for cool nights.

Her date, Andi, arrives with the cool Zimtstern TSM Trogo T-Shirt, the DC Wegde shirt and the casual Volcom Activist jeans. The classy Nixon The Sentry Leather watch , the black Bones Sun shades and the cool looking Vans Rowley are giving this style the perfect look.

Die Woche mit einem Shooting zu beginnen klingt verlockend!

So ging es für uns 7 Praktikanten, im Uhrzeigersinn: Bijan, Wolfi, Meike, Chris, Flo, Franzi und Sarah, vollbepackt und wochenendmüde, aber dennoch gespannt auf unseren bevorstehenden 3-Tage-Eigenprojekt-Trip ab in die Studentencity nach Graz.

Losgefahren bei prasselndem Regen und nach einer langen, aber gemütlichen 2 bis 3 Stunden Fahrt mit nahrhafter Frühstückspause bei McDonalds, kamen wir ebenfalls bei schönstem Regenwetter in der Blue Tomato Logistik in Graz an.

Nach einer kleinen Führung durchs Lager ging es dann endlich an die Arbeit: Story/Thema überlegen, Outfits zusammenstellen, Models und Locations checken, Zeitplan erstellen… Da ging es im Meetingraum bei so mancher Abstimmung heiß her und wir waren auf unsern Shooting-Tuesday nun mehr als gespannt!

Dienstag morgen.

Abfahrt, Provianteinkauf und los zur ersten Location – der wunderschönen Grazer Uni!

Happy über unser super harmonierendes Team, das plötzlich aufziehende Sommerwetter und die charakteristische Studentenlocation, konnten wir unser Shooting schon nach erfolgreichen zwei Stunden abschließen und zum nächsten Spot fahren.

Geplant war die schwimmende Plattform der Murinsel, heraus gekommen ist jedoch spontan ein anderer Hot Spot:

Eine tolle Beachbar mit erfrischendem Strandfeeling – in dem Moment einfach die bessere Wahl!

Vom Ergebnis waren wir alle hin und weg.
Alles hat gepasst, mit Applaus konnten wir unser Shooting beenden und hatten am Abend noch genügend Zeit die herrliche Grazer Altstadt mit ihren zahlreichen Bars, dem augenscheinlichen Frozen-Joghurt-Trend, leckerem, füllendem Essen, sowie dem Urturm auf dem Schlossberg mit gigantischem Ausblick auf die Stadt zu erkunden.

Passend zum Winter bringt Paramount Pictures eine herrlich freche Komödie über ein lässiges Aschenputtel in einer versnobten Welt voller Ski- und Snowboard Girls, eine wunderbare Lovestory mit spektakulären Snowboard-Aufnahmen, heraus. 

 Um die Hauptdarstellerin Kim (Felicity Jones) zu unterstützen, wurden die Roxy-Teamriderinnen Kjersti Buass, Basa Stevulova, Aline Bock, Aimee Fuller, Margot Rozies und Lesley McKenna  in die Snowboard-Action mit eingebunden und Roxy ist offizieller Outerwear-Ausrüster.

Es handelt sich zwar um einen typischen Hollywood Streifen aber wir finden es extrem cool dass das Snowboarden jetzt auch bei den Filmemachern in L.A. Aufmerksamkeit erregt hat und die Aktione Szene im Film sind ja auch nicht zu verachten.

Fans of snowboarding everywhere have been eagerly awaiting a taste of the new Absinthe movie NowHere. Yesterday the wait was over! The exclusive teaser went live July 20 on www.absinte-films.com and was watched more than 2500 times within the first few hours.

NowHere will take viewers on a vibrant shred trip around the world: from Alaska to Russia and everywhere in between featuring the riders Dan Brisse, Jake Blauvelt, Gigi Rüf, Lucas Debari, Fredi Kalbermatten, Sylvain Bourbousson, Romain deMarchi, DCP, JP Solberg, Tadashi Fuse, Annie Boulanger, Marie-France Roy, Bjorn Leines, Jules Reymond, Cale Zima, Taka Nakai, Terje Haakonsen, Bode Merrill, Blair Habenicht, Wolfgang Nyvelt and Nicolas Müller.

NowHere continues the legacy of pure, progressive riding and roots powder exploration.

The movie will officially be released on September 1 and be available on iTunes on October 4.

Blue Tomato eröffnet endlich einen Shop in der Landeshauptstadt!!

Liebes Tagebuch,

bald ist es so weit! Endlich eröffnet Blue Tomato auch einen Shop in WIEN!! Wir können es kaum erwarten! Der Shop hat die perfekte Lage direkt im Zentrum – Mariahilferstraße Ecke Neubaugasse. Mit einer Verkaufsfläche von 900 m2 wird die Filiale 3x so groß wie die in Graz. Auf drei Etagen werden ausgewählte Marken und Produkte angeboten, wobei wir natürlich großen Wert auf Style und Qualität legen – für unsere Kunden nur das Beste!

Die Bauarbeiten sind seit dem 11. Jänner in Gang, da bis zur Eröffnung im Herbst alles tip top sein muss! Voraussichtlich werden die Pforten im September, spätestens aber Oktober geöffnet. Bis dahin haben wir aber noch ein ganzes Stück Arbeit vor uns… Damit der Shop so wird, wie wir ihn uns vorstellen, wird einiges verändert. Das Stiegenhaus muss rausgerissen und an einer anderen Stelle eingebaut werden, Wände werden herausgerissen oder versetzt und die Fassade wird komplett neu gestaltet!

Wie man an den folgenden Aufnahmen von Jänner und Februar erkennen kann, ist noch eine Menge zu tun!

Es ist strange, mitzubekommen, wie so ein Shop quasi aus dem Nichts entsteht. Um auf dem Laufenden zu bleiben und uns an den Fortschritten zu erfreuen, werden wir dich, liebes Tagebuch, immer wieder mit den neuesten Baufotos füttern!
