Our teamrider Villa Uotila enjoyed his holidays in Finland in a meaningful way – with training
Here you can a read a small summer update from him:
“Hopefully the summer is rolling well for everybody. I spend my summer just in Finland this year but it’s been worth it for sure. Always nice to spend some time at home after a long season. I have been pretty busy a whole summer. Mostly I have been training my ass off this summer. We’ve got the privat physiotherapist for the finnish national team so it has been helping a lot. Beside of training there’s of course a lot of other sport I love to do like tennis, paddle tennis, cycling, trampoline, etc.. Yeah, and of course there has been a bunch of nice partys like Summer Sound festival. It was the largest electronic music festival in northern Europe. Goood times!!
There’s just a month left and then I’m back in business on the mountain. It’s just crazy how fast the whole summer went but actually I’m ready to go already.”
“Otro Modo” is a spanish term and means “the different way”. And that’s also the name and the philosophy of the surf camp in Fuerteventura where you might spend your next surfing vacation!

Falls ja, dann habt ihr mit Daniel Fetz einen professionellen Coach gefunden. Mit seiner Wakeboard- Schule Fetzysworld und seiner Erfahrung ist er definitiv eine der ersten Anlaufstellen in Europa. Er hat unzählige Mädels und Jungs aufs Wasser gebracht und ihnen, sowohl am Boot als auch an den Cables, den richtigen Einstieg in die Welt der Inverts nahe gebracht.

If yes, you have found a professional Coach with Daniel Fetz. With his Wakeboard-school and his huge experience is he definitely one of the first addresses in whole Europe. He has already got a lot of girls and boy interested in wakeboarding on both, boot and cables, and gave them an understanding of the world of inverts.
Close2target accompanied the likeable Upper Austrian for a few days, with the result of a video, in which he talks about his coaching. The most important thing for him are fun and the progress of his clients!

Eigentlich wollte ich ja diesen Sommer mal woanders hinfahren. Nicht schon wieder Bali. Aber irgendwie hat es sich dann doch wieder ergeben, dass ich erneut auf der Insel der Götter landete. Man kommt einfach nicht los von der Anziehungskraft und dem Zauber dieser kleinen indonesischen Insel. Bereits zum 8. Mal packte ich mein Zeug für Bali. Das übliche Setup: 2 Boards (diesmal 5.10 und 6.4), Skatedeck, Medizinkoffer und möglichst wenig Kleidung! Obwohl ich mir jedes Mal vornehme weniger mitzunehmen landet trotzdem immer zu viel im Koffer!!Nicht lernfähig! Schließlich gibt es auf der Surferinsel doch 1-2 Surfshops an denen man einfach nicht vorbeigehen kann…
Über 10.000 Besucher an fünf Tagen zog das Sport, Musik und Filmfestival an den Bodensee! Der Wakeboarcontest wurde von mir mitorganisiert. 4.000 $ wurden auf 8 Fahrer aus 3 Ländern aufgeteilt. Es wurden 10 Rider geladen und 2 hohlten sich eine Wildcard. Der Contest fand an einem Rixon Bro statt.
Der Modus war etwas anders als gewohnt: In der Quali gab es vier dreier Gruppen, wobei jeweils nur der erste ins Finale aufstieg.
Jeder Fahrer hatte 3x hin und her (also 6 Längen) und insgesamt wurden die 3 besten Tricks gewertet wobei einer am Rail, einer am Kicker und einer aus dem Flat dabei sein musste.
Das 4er Finale wurde in einem spannenden Heat to Heat Modus ausgetragen (K.O. System).

On 4th of July 24 wakeboarders and wakeskaters battled it out for the third time in the Müngersdorfer Stadionbad in Cologne (Germany).
Oncemore this unique location offerd a fantastic stadium atmosphere with spectacular wakeboard and wakeskate action. 10,000 dollars prize money attracted the best riders in the world to Cologne.
No matter whether you are having fun riding on glaciers, skating, surfing or hanging out with your homies. There is no reason for not having stylish sunglasses. Various new and awesome glasses arrived and you definitely should check them out…
