Obwohl der Sport hierzulande noch recht jung ist, gibt es Österreicher, die mit der internationalen Konkurrenz mithalten können. Die meisten von ihnen, wie etwa Michael Schweiger, leben aber dort, wo das Stand Up Paddeln erfunden wurde – auf Hawaii. Dort wurde es früher vor allem als Fortbewegungsmittel für Surf-Fotografen und -Lehrer verwendet, die damit schneller weiter draußen liegende Riffe erreichen konnten. Mittlerweile ist SUP aber, vor allem in den USA, zum Massensport aufgestiegen. Fitness-Center bieten spezielle Stand Up Paddel-Kurse an, in denen Kniebeugen, Liegestütze und ähnlich qualvolle Übungen auf dem Brett durchgeführt werden. “Aber schon dadurch, dass man aufrecht steht und die Bewegungen des Wassers ausgleicht, wird der ganze Körper trainiert”, sagt Mario Lach und klingt dabei wie ein Fitness-Guru.

Although this sport isn’t known well in Austria, there are still some of us who can compete with the world’s best stand up paddlers! Most of them, like Michael Schweiger, live where stand up paddling (SUP) was invented: Hawaii. At first, they just used it as means of transport for surf photographers and –teachers to be able to reach riffs located far our. By now SUP has become, especially in the US, a sports that nearly everybody does! Fitness centers provide special stand up paddling courses, in which you make squats, push-ups and some other painful exercises on the board. “Simply the standing upright and compensating the moving of the water makes your body fit and trains every part!” says Mario Lach and sounds like a fitness guru.

Langsam kann man anfangen die Tage bis freestyle.ch 2010 abzuzählen. Die Startfelder strotzen nur so von prominenten Namen aus dem Snowboard-, Freeski-, FMX- und Skateboardzirkus. Für hochspannende Contests ist also gesorgt. Die Label World ist total ausverkauft und die Aussteller freuen sich darauf, euch die neuesten Errungenschaften der Freestyleindustrie vorzustellen.

Die Musiker fangen langsam an ihre Instrumente zu stimmen, damit sie pünktlich bereit sind um euch in Partystimmung zu bringen. Die Sterne stehen also gut, dass wir einmal mehr ein unvergessliches Wochenende zusammen erleben werden. OH YEAH, das Leben ist GROSSARTIG!!!

Blue Tomato ist natürlich wie jedes Jahr wieder mit von der Partie mit einem grossen Stand und jede Menge coolem Stuff. So kriegt jeder Besucher bei uns ein gratis Clast Headbands- es lohnt sich also auf jedenfall für Euch bei uns vorbei zu schauen! OH YEAH das Leben ist wirklich GROSSARTIG!

We are close to the point where we can start counting the days until to the freestyle.ch 2010. Part of the game are very famous names out of the snowboard-, freeski-, FMX- and skateboard scene. For incredible exciting contest is contests will be served. The Label World is completely sold out and the exhibitors are looking forward to present their newest aquisitions to the Freestyleindustry.

The musicians slowly start to tune their instruments, so that they are ready on time to bring you in the party mood. The stars are standing good that we will spend an unforgettable weekend together. OH YEAH, life is just GREAT!!!

Zur Feier seines 15. Geburtstags kommt die neue Playboard #61 nicht nur mit der geballten Ladung Actionshots, sondern auch mit einem formidablen Stickersheet – Aufklebers für alle!

Man könnte meinen mit 15 Jahren sei man noch ganz grün hinter den Ohren – nicht aber unser Geburtstagskind! Der Blue Tomato Teamrider Dominik Wagner – genannt “Wögna” – war vor diesem Sommer noch nie in Kanada. Ein Tatbestand, den es zu ändern galt. Glücklich darf sich schätzen, wer Talent hat und gleichermaßen sympathisch ist, weshalb  die Redaktion vom Pleasure Mag beschlossen hat, dass er Teil der Euro-Crew in Whistler am Camp of Champions werden musste, um dort zu shooten, Vodka Cranberry zu trinken, vorrangig viel Spaß zu haben und ein Interview zu geben.

Und so kam es, wie es kommen musste: Drei Wochen vergingen wie im Flug, unzählige Shots am Berg waren gesammelt, noch mehr Vodka Cranberrys bereits getrunken und gelacht wurde sowieso – das Interview ließ jedoch noch auf sich warten. Nach drei Wochen zu zehnt in einem Apartement könnte man davon ausgehen, dass der Haussegen schief hängt und man anfängt, sich zu meiden. Weit gefehlt. Zehn Menschen am Runden Tisch, Zwischenrufe und Unruhe garantiert – lies das Interview jetzt im neuen Pleasure #87!

Blue Tomato teamrider Dominik “Wögna” Wagner, has never been to Canada. A fact which should have been changed! He is not only talented and gifted, but also really sympathetic, so the editorial team of the Pleasure Mag decided to make him part of the European crew in Whistler at the camp of champions – for shooting, drinking vodka cranberry, have a lot of fun and to interview him.

And so it happened, what must have happened: three weeks went by so quickly, they did numerous shots at the mountain, drank even more vodka cranberry and had a laugh all day long – but they didn’t make the interview. After three weeks living together with ten people in an apartment you should think that everybody is sick of the other people. Wrong! Ten guys on a table, interjections and turbulences – read the interview in the new Pleasure #87!

Partys mit DJ-Lines – ja, kennen wir, tanzen, aber sonst? Filmpräsentationen – auch bekannt. Steif, förmlich, und danach? Zirkus – für die Kinder ja, aber altbacken und fad.

Nicht so beim “Circus Delüxse – Artisten, DJs, Attraktionen” supported by Blue Tomato am 25.09.2010 ab 20:00 Uhr im ÖGB-Saal in Wiener Neustadt. Die Initiativen Southurban und Struttinbeats, beide langjährig erfahren im Party- und Eventbereich, haben sich mit der Snowboard-Crew Bamboo Motion Pictures zusammengetan und bringen an diesem Abend all das unter einen Hut, das man einzeln sowieso schon lange kennt. Mit von der Partie ist nicht nur das Blue Tomato Team, du kannst auch noch die Team Member Marc Swoboda, Dominik Wagner, Clemens Schattschneider und Flo Galler im Movie bewundern!

12 DJs spielen auf, unterstützt von 3 MCs, als Highlight um 22:30 Uhr die Weltpremiere des Snowboardvideos “Sketchy” von Bamboo Motion Pictures. Dabei wird auf einer musikalischen Reise von Reggae, Dancehall, HipHop über Electro, BreakBeats, Funk bis Dubstep und Drum&Bass jeder Besucher das Tanzbein bis in die frühen Morgenstunden schwingen. Dazwischen launige Moderation, Verlosung von Preisen, Tanzeinlagen, Artisten, Verkleidungen und Live-Piercing & Tattoo.

Und das alles für den okkasionellen Besucherkostenbeitrag von EUR 5,-. Wir freuen uns auf euch!

Parties with a DJ line-up – yes, we know that, dancing, but what else? Movie presentations – also well known: starchy, formal, and then? Circus – for children yes, but frumpy and boring.

But not at the “Circus Delüxse – Artists, DJs, Attractions” supported by Blue Tomato on September 25 at 8pm at the ÖGB-Saal in Wiener Neustadt. The initiatives Southurban and Struttinbeats, both longstanding experienced in parties and events lined up with the snowboard-crew Bamboo Motion Pictures and accommodate all these things on this evening. The Blue Tomato team will be there, but you can also marvel at the teamriders Marco Swoboda, Clemens Schattschneider, Flo Galler and Dominik Wagner, that take part in the movie!

12 DJs will act up, supported by 3 MCs, but the highlight will definitely be the world premiere of the new snowboardvideo “Sketchy” by Bamboo Motion Pictures at 22.30. On a musical trip from reggae, dancehall, hiphop to electro, breakbeats and funk to dubstep and drum&bass every visitor will be on the dancefloor until early in the morning. In between humorous moderation, tombola, dance interludes, artists, costumes and live-piercing & tattoo.

And this all for an occasional price of EUR 5,-. We are looking forward to seeing you!
