Werfen wir einen Blick zurück auf den Spätherbst 2010, als die erste QParks Tour in der Geschichte des Freestyles im legendären Pleasure Jam im Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein eingeläutet wurde. Seitdem ging alles schnell und die QParks Events konnten sich entwickeln und wurden fast über Nacht in eine Reihe von Veranstaltungen umgesetzt, die gleichermaßen Freeskier und Snowboarder aus der Szene begeistern! Das Konzept war einfach: Jeder kann teilnehmen und alle bekommen eine Chance. Und schließlich ist die Zeit gekommen: nach 10 großen Wettbewerben in einigen der besten Terrain-Parks in Europa, sind wir auf den Höhepunkt der QParks Tour am Dachstein gespannt! Am 7. Und 8. Mai werden die besten 50 Rider der Tour Rangliste gegeneinander, Kopf an Kopf, battlen. Es ist schwer zu sagen, wie es zu Ende geht, aber eins kann man sicherlich sagen: in diesem Jahr wird der Freestyle Zirkus mit einem sprengenden Event am Ende der Saison bereichert werden!

Das Format des QParks Tour Finals wird einzigartig und mit jede Menge Nervenkitzel  verbunden sein! Die 50 besten Snowboarder und Freeskier der Tour, zusammen mit  ausgewählten Wild-Card-Startern, werden gegeneinander im Knock-out-Modus antreten. Am Samstag den 7. Mai 2011 sind die Snowboarder an der Reihe und am Tag danach, am 8. Mai, werden die Freeskier Felsen des Wettbewerbs sein. Fressen oder gefressen werden, von Anfang an, haben die Rider zwei Runs gegen ihre Rivalen und um die Jury zu überzeugen, ansonsten ist es Zeit für sie ihre Sachen zu packen und nachHause zu gehen!

Diejenigen, die es ins Finale schaffen, werden nicht nur um den Sieg des Wettbewerbs kämpfen, sondern auch um die letzten Punkte im gesamten QParks Tour Ranking. Es gibt auch noch die Chance eine zweiwöchige all inclusive Reise in ein Bali Camp zu gewinnen bei der Online-Abstimmung der Rider.

Was wäre die QParks Tour ohne tolle Preise? Am Tag des Finals werden die Fahrer gegeneinander fahren um insgesamt 3.000€. Der Toursieg hat einen Wert von 7.000€ – in bar sowie jede Menge Preise von den Sponsoren Horsefeathers, Blue Tomato, adidas eyewear, Balicamp, Red Bull und QParks. Best Trick: zusätzlich werden die besten Trick mit 200€ prämiert – jeweils von Playboard und Downdays. Rookies aufgepasst: Die Gewinner des Rookie – Freeski und Snowboard- Contests gewinnen einen Red Bull simply All Handy Vertrag für ein Jahr mit einem Red Bull Mobile Handy Motorola Defy. Darüber hinaus können die Gewinner des Snowboard Rookies sich auf ein exklusives Ticket für die Stylesession sowie ein Interview im Playboard Magazin freuen. Die Freeskie Rookies werden auch für ein exklusives Feature im Downday Freeskiing Magazin kämpfen.

Nach der ganzen Freestyle-Aktion, starten wir um an beiden Tagen um 15:00 Uhr unsere Blue Tomato Grill Session im Freizeitpark Ramsau Beach, wo auch die Siegerehrung stattfinden wird! Chill and Grill

Natürlich wird das große Dachstein Opening mit AWESOME Parties gefeiert im super Nachtleben Schladmings. Am Samstag den 7. Mai, wird die Horsefeathers Party den Cult Club aber so was von rocken! IT ENDS WHERE IT STARTED
Let’s take a look back at late autumn 2010 when the first QParks Tour in the history of freestyle was rung in with the legendary Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam in the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein. Since then, everything went fast and the QParks Event Department was able to develop and implement almost overnight a series of events which enthused equally freeskiers and snowboarders from the scene. The concept was simple: anyone can take part, everyone get’s a chance. And eventually the time has come: after 10 great contests in some of the best terrain parks of Europe, we are eagerly looking forward to the climax of the QParks Tour on the Dachstein.

On May 7th and 8th, the best 50 riders of the Tour ranking will compete against each other in head to head runs. It’s hard to tell how it’s going to end, but one thing can be said for sure: this year the freestyle circus will be enriched with a blasting event at the season’s end!

HEAD TO HEAD BATTLE
The contest format of the QParks Tour Finals will be unique and hard to beat in terms of thrill. The 50 best snowboarders and 50 best freeskiers of the tour, along with selected wild-card starters will compete against each other in knock-out mode. On Saturday, the 7th of May 2011, it’s the snowboarders turn, and the day after, on the 8th of May, the freeskiers will rock the contest. Eat or die – right from the beginning the riders will have to win through in two runs against their rivals and convince the judges, otherwise it’s already time for them to pack and go home! Those who make it into the final, will not only battle for the contest victory, but of course for the last important points of the overall QParks Tour ranking. There is also still the chance to win a two weeks all inclusive Bali Camp trip at the online riders voting. The list with the riders who qualified for the Finalists you can find here.

Best Trick: additionally the best tricks will  be awarded EUR 200,- each by Playboard and Downdays. Rookies watch out: the  winners of the rookies’ freeski and rookies’ snowboard competition will win the Red Bull SimplyAll mobile phone contract for one year including a Red Bull MOBILE phone Motorola Defy. Moreover, the winner of the snowboard rookies can be looking forward to an exclusive ticket for the Stylesession as well as an Interview in the Playboard mag. The freeski rookies will also fight for a exclusive feature in the Downdays Freeskiing mag.

After all the freestyle action, starting at 3:00pm on both, Saturday and Sunday, everyone is invited to join the Blue Tomato BBQ session in the Freizeitpark Ramsau Beach where also the prize giving ceremony will take place. Chill and Grill

NO ACTION WITHOUT GREAT PARTY!
Of course the big Dachstein Opening will be celebrated with awesome parties in the infamous nightlife of Schladming. On Saturday the 7th of May, the Horsefeathers Party in the Cult Club will rock the house with hot DJ tunes. The party weekend continues then on Sunday, May the 8th, after the big freeski finale at the adidas eyewear party in the Friends Bar!
